Labor Community @ Work is a community-based organization created to connect labor and other community groups to support working families through education and action. As the 501c3 arm of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council, LC@W creates a conduit for AFL-CIO community service programming, constituency group actions, and charitable activities. We are dedicated to helping those who need it most in our community. Some of the annual activities under the Labor Community @ Work are:

  • Blanket Drive for area shelters
  • Health and Hygiene Drive for area shelters
  • St. Ben’s Community Meal Program Annual Cook-Out
  • Waukesha Women’s Center Annual Cook-Out
  • Sock Drive for area shelters and Community Schools
  • Women of Steel Diaper Drive
  • Occasional Food Drives to support local unions and workers.

In addition, LC@W takes in tax deductible donations for Laborfest and MALC foundation support for labor educational programming.
