Steward Training Part 2: Contracts, Grievances, Fair Representation & Steward Responsibilites
633 S Hawley Rd, Milwaukee, WI 53214
The Milwaukee Area Labor Council's Education Committee is proud to announce our annual Steward Training set to take place the last week of February. Steward Training Part 2: Contracts, Grievances, Fair Representation & Steward Responsibilities will take place on Saturday, February 28th from 8:30 am-3:00 pm in Yatchak Hall.
This training will include a plethora of segments addressing all of the issues listed in the title and more presented by seasoned unionists who are passionate about building strong, militant unions. One key ingredient in building strong, militant unions is passionate, knowledgeable, and caring union stewards. Union stewards are the connective tissue that link rank-and-file union members to the larger union body and serve as advocates for union members on the shop floor and in the workplace. This training will provide tools and a foundational body of knowledge that our union stewards can utilize and build upon to become more effective in the workplace.
A schedule of the day's events will be posted soon.
If you are a union steward, aspire to be a union steward, or are simply a union member looking to increase your knowledge and build your toolset please join us.
