Steward Training Part 1: Internal Organizing/Beating Apathy

Milwaukee Area Labor Council's Education Committee is proud to host our annual Steward Training during the last week of February. On Wednesday, February 25th Milwaukee Teachers Education Association's (MTEA) own Anna Dvorak will be leading an Internal Organizing Training called "Beating Apathy" from 6-8 pm in Yatchak Hall.
Are you beating your head against the wall trying to get people involved? This workshop is for you. Hear success stories about how others have turned their workplaces around and turned apathy into action. Learn practical organizing tools for engaging your co-workers, taking action and getting results. Topics covered will include how bosses keep us disorganized, how to identify an organizing issue and how to have effective organizing conversation.
If you are a union steward, are interested in becoming a union steward, or simply desire to understand the strategies and dynamics that make for effective internal organizing please consider joining us for this event. And consider joining us for part 2 of the Steward Training on Saturday, February 28th from 8:30 am-3:00 pm at the same location.
