Solidarity Saturday

The Milwaukee Area Labor Council's Education & Organizing Committee is kicking off our new monthly offering, Solidarity Saturdays, on Saturday, May 30th from 1pm to 3pm at Layman's Brewing in West Allis. Before you head to Layman's be sure to stop by the Pride @ Work Social at the UFCW Local 1473 Union Hall (5200 W Loomis Rd, Greendale) from 11am-1pm: Pride @ Work Social! | Milwaukee Area Labor Council, AFL-CIO. Then head over to Layman's to keep the solidarity and fellowship flowing.

Soliday Saturdays are not meetings. They are informal gatherings of unionists and workers for the sake of solidarity and fellowship. Bring a passage to read, your favorite poem, a song to sing or just yourself and enjoy free time with fellow workers. We live hectic lives in a busy world to earn our daily bread. But it's not just bread we want. We also want roses!!! So, let's take some time to smell the roses together.
