YES to MPS, from President Fendt
The Milwaukee Public Schools funding plan was put together very responsibly, considering the needs of students as well as those of taxpayers. Because of inaction on the part of state legislators to address the funding needs of schools across Wisconsin, 410 of 421 school districts have already taken action themselves; approving school funding plans for their communities.
On April 7th, voters in Milwaukee can lift up area schools with a Yes vote on the referendum question. For a mere $4 a week, we can really make a difference for our students in Milwaukee Public Schools and have a positive impact on the community.
