Laborfest COVID Information
Compiled below is information from the City of Milwaukee Health Department and current CDC guidelines to assist with your Laborfest plans.
Current CDC guidelines recommend people wear face coverings indoors and in crowded outdoor settings when you are unable to social distance.
In addition to masking when appropriate the Milwaukee Health Department strongly advises implementing a layered mitigation strategy: stay up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccines, physically distance and avoid crowded spaces, improve ventilation of indoor spaces, practice thorough hand hygiene, and test to prevent spread when sick or identified as a close contact.
The CDC strongly advises people to not attend an event if:
• Within 14 days before attending the festival you have tested positive or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
• You are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who is experiencing symptoms (fever (100.4?F), cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19)
• You are immunocompromised
• You traveled to a country that is subject to a U.S. Department of State Department Level 4 “Do Not Travel” advisory or a CDC Level 3 Travel Health Notice, within 14 days of the festival
We encourage union members to do their part in following the CDC and City of Milwaukee Health Dept. guidelines while making the best health and safety decisions for their families.
