Labor Spotlight- Tracey Schwerdtfeger
Tracey is a Member and Steward for the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals Local 5000. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for 3 years as a patient care associate/CNA/health unit coordinator on a locked inpatient psychiatric unit before earning her nursing degree to become a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital on the cardiac care floor. Tracey is proud of standing up for her members and seeing results like getting $2,000 in backpay for a member who management was trying not to pay for working extra shifts.
Tracey is on the MALC Executive Board and Co-Chair of the Young Workers Committee. You can also find her organizing in the community. Tracey is dedicated to making workplaces and communities places for everyone to thrive.
