40th Annual WI Labor History Society Conference
Mark your calendar! The Wisconsin Labor History Society 40th Annual Conference is taking place November 6th!
The 2021 Conference theme is "Progressives, Populists and Socialists: The role of labor in building a just and fair nation."
The conference features Naomi Williams, of Rutgers University Workers Center, and a 2011 WLHS Legacy Award winner, who will be the Steve Meyer Memorial Lecturer.
Other panel discussions will feature Milwaukee historian John Gurda, UW-Green Bay lecturer Jillian Jacklin on the "Rise, Decline and Future of Wisconsin Liberalism." Also, "Rebuilding a Progressive Movement," with State Representatives Kristina Shelton and Francesca Hong and another guest to be announced.
IMPORTANT: This conference will be held using recommendations of the CDC that are in effect at the time. The conference may be cancelled at any time, due to the pandemic.
