We accomplish so much more when we work as a team. Along with the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, the Labor Community Campaign is our opportunity as labor members to make a big difference in the community.
The Labor Kick-Off event for the campaign each September provides labor’s most distinguished community service award to a union member or group providing distinguished service. Named in honor of an active labor and United Way leader, the Werner J. Schaefer Community Service Award is chosen by a local committee formed by AFL-CIO Community Services.
