Labor Spotlight- Addie Wyatt
Addie Wyatt (1924 - 2012)
Sister Rev. Addie Wyatt, known for her patience and persistence - would later break many glass ceilings for women in the Labor movement. Co founder of Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) and former Vice President of United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW).
Rev. Wyatt would go on to work closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in Montgomery bus boycott. Then eventually counsel Barack Obama in his days as a young community organizer in Chicago.
