In 2018, the African-American Summit focused on “Standing Together, Standing Strong” and was a coalition effort by CBTU, LCLAA, and APRI. Being an election year, there was a special presentation on voter rights=civil rights and voter readiness. Participants made over 700 phone calls to union members that were not registered to vote on their voting rights.
