When budget shortfalls arise and workers’ jobs and security are sacrificed, such as in the short-sighted Act 10 legislation against which over 100,000 people protested, families can migrate from being able to offer their extra time and money to help others, to being in need of community services themselves. This is why it is so crucial that we work in conjunction to serve our community together to help our working families not only thrive in the good times, but survive through the tough times.
There are many ways to help: by volunteering, donating food and beverages to events, donating supplies to those who need it, and donating money by mail or online.
Monetary tax-deductible donations can be made to our charity organization, Labor Community @ Work (501c3) online. Volunteer opportunities are available online via our calendar or on Facebook. Donations to Labor Community @ Work are never used for political purposes.
Please consider a gift here to help support Milwaukee Area Labor Council, AFL-CIO (501c4) general & online communications, outreach and awareness.
To donate to our Political Action Committee (PAC), which accepts only designated political donations and is used for only political work, donate here.
