Labor Day, the first Monday in September, a is a creation of the labor movement. It’s dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the
contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Labor Day Parade
This year, the Milwaukee Area Labor Council invites you to meet at the just-finished, newly-renovated Wisconsin Workers Memorial at Carl Zeidler Union Square in Downtown Milwaukee. Thanks to labor and donations from several union construction companies, local unions, and community partners; we are proud to reveal the refreshed Memorial, where our parade traditionally begins. The parade that stretches for blocks down Wisconsin Avenue features local union affiliates, partners, and allies at 11 am.
Following the parade, the festival opens at the Summerfest grounds with free entertainment all day long for the entire family.

- Food and Beverages available for purchase.
- Raffle tickets to win CASH PRIZES. Grand prize is a Brand New Harley-Davidson Iron 883 union-made in MILWAUKEE!

And please remember, if you can, to bring a pair of NEW SOCKS for those in need for our SOCK DRIVE for local charities and Milwaukee Public Schools. Drop them off at the Union Industries Booth inside Laborfest. Thank you!!
